Tea leaves are prepared in the factory by the following process:
- First, the leaves are plucked from tea gardens. Tea is grown in tea plantations which are generally situated in the regions with suitable climate, soil and location for tea plantation.
- Tea leaves from these plantations are plucked and brought to factories where the further processes for the preparation of tea is done.
- The leaves are the spread in trays and left to be dried. Leaves plucked from plants are green and fresh, these leaves are need to be dried in heated rooms before further processes.
- After drying it properly these leaves are sent to the shredding machines where they are cut in small pieces and of required sizes.
- The next step is to send them to an oven. This step is necessary to stop the oxidation process of the leaves, also baking in oven completes the drying process and introduces new flavors to the leaves.
- After baking, the leaves are sent to the sieving machine where they are graded and sorted by their size and appearance.
- The last step is of packing, where the prepared tea leaves are packed in aluminum foils and is ready to be sold.
