Joe Thompson is a loving and caring man who has a hard and rough heart from outside but from inside he has a very soft heart. He loves kid very much and loves to be surrounded by their company. He is a strong man but after the incident with magnet he got very emotional and also cried a little when he saw little child Maggi alone and nobody wants her because of her disability.

Maggie is one of the youngest of 3 children. The other 2 children got adopted but not Maggie because of her back problem which she had when she was young. Only Mr.Thompson from the village had a soft corner for the girl and he decided to take that girl to his home despite of knowing that his wife will not accept him but gradually things went well and both Mr.Thompson and Mrs.Thompson has accepted that girl as they were also childless.
