Describe ,in brief ,the contruction of a compass needle .State the main use ​

Actually the needle of the compass is magnetic so the north pole of it which is in white in colour attracts towards south and its south pole which is in red in colour is attracted towards north. everthing is based on this ,that means opposite poles attract and similar poles repel.
