Jallianwala Bagh Massacre took place on 13th April 1919.

2) People gathered on Baisakhi at Jallianwala Bagh for the peaceful protest demanding the release of two arrested leaders-Dr. Satya Pal and Saifuddin Kitchlew.

3) Colonel Reginald Dyer blocked all the exits and opened fire on the people peacefully gathered at the Jallianwala Bagh.

4) Many people tried to escape the attack by jumping into the well and trying to climb the already closed gates.

5) While official estimates confirmed only 379 deaths, actual numbers of causalities were more than 2000.

6) Around 1650 rounds were fired by the British soldiers within a span of 10 minutes.
