The problems which are being faced with the increase in coal production are:
1) The decrease in coal reserves: as more coal is being dug out of the Earth, there rises a problem of decrease in the Coal reserves around the world. This creates a problem of availability of coal for the coming generation.
2) Increase in pollution: the more coal is being produced, the more coal is being used and this is contributing to increase in pollution and a decrease in the environmental conditions. In this way, coal is also possessing a threat to our environment and our lives.
