Answer:

River Narmada is between Satpuda Mountain range and Vindhyachal Mountain range. The Narmada River, also called the Rewa and previously also known as Nerbudda, is a river in central India after the Godavari, and the Krishna.

The Tapti River (or Tapi) is a river in central India between the Godavari and Narmada rivers which flows westwards before draining into the Arabian Sea. The river has a length of 724km and flows through the states of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.

Answer:

hey dear here is your answer..

There are three main reasons...

these are:➡️

1. Gradient of the terrain

2. Presence of rift valleys

3. Mountain ranges which deflect rivers.

West-bound rivers:

1. Narmada: It originates from Mount Amarkantak in Madhya Pradesh. As it flows down the hill, it is trapped in a rift valley between the Vindhya and the Satpura muntain ranges which leads it to the west towards Gujarat, were it drains into the Gulf of Khambat.

2. Tapti: It rises in the Satpura mountain range and is also trapped in a rift valley (don't remember the name).

East-bound rivers:

1. Ganga-Yamuna: They rise in the Himalayas, come down the mountains and turn east when they encounter the rocky terrain of the Aravallis and the Chota Nagpur Plateau.

2. Godavari, Krishna, Kaveri: All originate in or near the eastern side of the Western Ghats. As rivers cannot climb up, they flow towards east, into the Bay of Bengal.

Hope it helps you dear... ..

thanks dear a lot.....
