• Crocker Harris was a strict teacher who could control his students. His students were so scared of him that they could not even think of leaving when he was late. Crocker Harris was old and experienced even though he was not a very good teacher. His extreme ideas about certain things in life were quite funny and ridiculous. Singing was one of them. He had a conceited misconception about his singing abilities. Harris's friends who had heard him sing believe he must not be allowed to sing.
