Jainulabedeen, Kalam's father was a religious individual.

So he would lead a stark and a very simple life leaving sacrificing all the extravagance of life.

He would begin his day by reading the Namaz just before sunrise.

After Namaz, he would stroll down to a little coconut forest which they had.

The coconut forest was four miles away from their home.

While returning back, he used to bring a dozen of coconuts on his shoulders.

After that, he used to have his breakfast.

Even at the age of sixties, he continued to maintain this routine.
