Ivy refers to an evergreen climbing or ground creeping Woody plant with Shiny dark green find pointed leaves . the term Ivy green was the name given to the Keller homestead at the tuscumbia a little town in Northern Alabama.
the property was built by Helen keller's grandparents. it included a small Cottage where Helen was born and the main house where she spent her early childhood. the house was called Ivy green because the house and its surroundings area including the trees and defences where covered with beautiful English Ivy.
the small Cottage to was completely hidden with Vines climbing Roses and honeysuckles.
and look like a shady area enclosed by trees.
even the little paws was hidden under a screen of yellow roses and southern smilax. birds and bees love to visit the place. the garden also had a number of flowering and other plants of a wide variety like clematis, Jasmine and butterfly lilies. dienogest where the loveliest of all and they would feel the various with their sweet fragrance.
