it is of three types

  1. first law -- the orbits of planets are elliptical with sun at one of its foci. It is also known as law of orbits
  2. second law -- the line connecting the planet and the sun sweeps equal area in equal intervals of time it is also called law of area.
  3. third law -- the square of the period of revolution is proportional to the cube of the semi major axis of the orbit it is also called law of periods.
