Kreb's cycle is the part of respiration that occurs in mitochondria of a cell.It occurs in presrnce of oxygen and produces much energy. In this process lactic acid or pyruvic acid is broken down in several steps to produce ATP and carbon dioxide. The H+ions produced are removed by means of water from the cell.
