\large{\bold{Instruction\: about \:zones}}

Heat zones are different zones of the earth. They can be recognized on the basis of the amount of heat received from the sun. There are three zones: Torrid Zone, the two Temperate Zones, and the two Frigid Zones. The Torrid Zone is very hot since the sun shines overhead on this zone. The Temperate Zones maintain a moderate climate, and the Frigid Zones are extremely cold.

\large{\bold{Introduction\: about \:zones}}

\textbf{(a) Torrid Zone:} This zone lies between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn and is also known as the \textit{tropical zone}. It receives more or less direct rays of the sun throughout the year so, it is the hottest zone of the earth.

\textbf{(b) Temperate Zones:} There are two temperate zones —\textit{North Temperate Zone} lies between the Tropic of Cancer and the Arctic Circle, while the \textit{South Temperate Zone} lies between the Tropic of Capricorn and the Antarctic Circle. The temperate zones receive slanting rays of the sun. Thus, they are neither too hot nor too cold.

\textbf{(c) Frigid Zones:} There are two frigid zones lies in north and in south. The \textit{North Frigid Zone} lies between the Arctic Circle and the North Pole and the \textit{South Frigid Zone} lies between the Antarctic Circle and the South Pole. These two zones receives extremely slanting rays of the sun and thus are very cold.
