Max weber has given 3 types of authority system.

Explanation:

Sociology i.e. authority is the legitimate exercitation of one person over another. The element of authority is the key factor of authority system. Power can be exercised by the force or violence. Acceptance is enforced by violence by using the authority by the superior person.  

Max weber has defined following three kinds of authority system.  

1. Traditional authority – power is legitimized by respect and culture.

2. Charismatic authority – Power is legitimized by the extraordinary power.

3. Rational- legal authority – It is kind of bureaucratic authority
