Merits of parliamentary system  

1. It becomes easy to pass legislation in a faster way.
2. Executives are appointed on the basis of voting done at political parties.
3. Power gets divided .
4. Elections can be held at any emergency situation or change in power is      possible without an election also.
5. Healthy debate is possible.

Demerits of parliamentary system  

1. Minority parties don’t get voice. Cabinet dictatorship prevails.  
2. People sometimes vote for party only for the person of their choice
3. Failure in taking prompt decision.
