Fluorine is extricated utilizing the Moissan's technique. This technique utilizes electrolysis to confine the component and it was French scientific expert, Henri Moissan who was the principal physicist who effectively extricated fluorine from hydrofluoric acid.

This happens when potassium hydrogen difluoride and hydrofluoric acid is blended into a solution. Utilizing anodes, isolate the decidedly charged hydrogen particles from the adversely charged fluorine particles, and afterward gather the gas. This strategy is as yet used right up 'til the present time.

Fluorine is a mineral compound which is a combination of metal, calcium and another element name hitherto (which is impossible to extract).

Thus, Henri Moissan a french chemist was the first one to suggest a workable method to extract fluorine from hydrofluoric acid.

So potassium hydrogen defluoride and hydrofloric acid is mixed together. Using electrodes the positively charged  are separated from the negatively charged fluorine ions, and the remaining gas is collected.  This method is known as electrolysis and is still used till today.
