Muhammad bin Tughlaq

1. Muhammad bin Tughluq was the Sultan of Delhi from 1325 to 1351.
2. He was the eldest son of Ghiyas -ud -Din -Tughlaq, the founder of the Tughluq dynasty.
3. His wife was the daughter of the Raja of Dipalpur

6. In spite of all his credentials, he is referred to as the wise fool in Indian History because he undertook numerous administrative reforms and most of them failed due to the lack of plan and judgement.
7. The one decision for which Muhammad bin Tughlaq, the 14th century sultan of Delhi, is most remembered, is the disastrous shifting of his capital from Delhi to Daulatabad in the Deccan, in present-day Maharashtra
8. Khusrau Khan, the last ruler of the Khilji administration was executed by Ghazni Malik, who raised the throne accepting the title Ghiyasuddin Tughlaq. He passed away in a mishap and his sone Jauna (Ulugh Khan) succeeded him under the title Mohammad-bin-Tughlaq, in 1325. He ruled Delhi from 1325 to 1351.
