▶MULTIPLE ALLELISM:- “Three or more kinds of gene which occupy the same locus are referred to as multiple alleles.”
multiple alleles can be found only when population studies are made.
»Example:- Blood Groups in Man, Wings of Drosophila, Coat Colour in Rabbit.
___________________________________________
▶PLEOTROPISM:- A single gene may have two or more phenotypic expressions. The multiple phenotypic effect of a single gene is called pleiotropism.
»Example:- Phenylketonuria, Sickle cell aneamia.

Answer:
Multiple alleles are fundamentally different from each other. Pleiotropic gene are not fundamentally different, they result from mutation in a normal regular functioning gene. Pleiotropy is observable only in the phenotype; no genotype change is present.
