Hey mate here your answer......

India is a country celebrating many festivals. Among Hindu festivals, Diwali or Deepavali is one of the biggest festivals for Hindus. It is the festival of light. It is a festival celebrated the honor our own culture and tradition. This auspicious day is celebrated with happiness and lights all over India. The festival falls in the month of October or November and according to Hindu calendar, it comes in the month of Kartika on a new moon day.

Diwali is celebrated as a mark of victory of Lord Rama, on his return to Ayodhya after his exile of 14 years, over the evil Ravana. The festival is the symbol of victory of goodness over evil. Rama’s triumph over Ravana is celebrated with happiness and enthusiasm throughout the country. The lighting of diyas and burning crackers symbolizes the prosperity at home. According to folklore tradition, diyas were illuminated in the houses to welcome Lord Rama to his own land. To commemorate the day, everything on the day is decorated with lights. This gives a lush festive look.

Diwali is my favorite festival because on this day whole India is covered up with lights and we enjoy a lot by burning firecrackers, eating sweets and wearing new clothes. The celebrations start a week before the day and people start preparing sweets and clean their houses to decorate it for the festival. We make colorful rangolis in front of our house on this day to welcome the Goddess home. It is believed that Goddess Lakshmi will visit every home on this day to bring fortune, wealth, and prosperity.

I love celebrating Diwali as we buy firecrackers and burn them in the night and enjoy with our family and friends. We eat and distribute a lot of sweets and delicious food and exchange gifts to each other. On this day, it is a beauty to see the sky. It will look splendid with crackers. Thus, Diwali, the day of lights, is my favorite festival as it signifies the triumph of goodness.
