• Due to access heat matter gets expanded and it is also known as “thermal expansion”. It happens with any substance.  
• The best example of principle of expansion is railway track.  
• Due to overheat in summer days railway track get expanded and the shape of railway track getting changes.
• Only for this reason there is gap between railway tracks. Because if gap is not happen then there is possibility of accident.
