- Have claws bearing appendages.
- Commonly called velvet worms.
- Example:- Peripatus.
- Chelicerata:- Have claws and horns.

Phylum Arthropoda, which form the largest percentage of the world’s organisms. They make up about 80 percent of the known species of animals! It is quite hard to escape them.
Phylum Arthropods include four basic groups, the myriapods (centipedes and millipedes), chelicerates (spiders, mites, horseshoe crabs, and scorpions), hexapods (insects) and crustaceans (lobsters, crabs, shrimp, barnacles, brine shrimp and others).
