by PDS (PUBLIC DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM) our government has ensured food security to the poor people of India through ration shops and ration card. this helped to remove some fraction of poverty in India and this made poor to buy food in easy ways

Public dostribution system in helps poor people to get food materials which are essential like wheat, rice, millets at a very cheaper rate compared to the market price. It functions with the help of ration shops. The ration card holders can claim their goods at the respective ration shops.With the help of this the poor people can be able to survive with the minimum requirement i.e., food even though they are BPL(Below Poverty Line). This ensures food security in India
