quaid-e-azam made many efforts to bring All Indian National Congress and All India Muslim League togather. Due to his efforts the two parties held a joint session in Lucknow. This was the first settlement between hindus and muslims. It paved further way for unity when Gandhi decided to help muslims in restoring the khilafat of Ottomen empire.
