Before the arrival of the nightingale, the frog used to blare out from the sumac tree and declared himself as the owner of the sumac tree. Other creatures hated his voice, but they did not had any other choice, as neither prayers not threats could stop the frog from singing. When the nightingale sang for the first time all the creatures applauded and praised her. The frog used the innocent nature of the nightingale and declares himself as her teacher and guide. He used to earn a lot from the nightingale's singing and when her voice was no more attractive, he tired her out to death.
Thus, making himself an unrivaled king of the bog.
