1⃣ Reducing agent ➡️  It is also called a reductant or reducer It is an element (such as calcium) or compound that loses (or "donates") an electron to another chemical species in a redox chemical reaction.

2⃣ oxidising agent➡️An oxidizing agent, or oxidant, gains electrons and is reduced in a chemical reaction.

Oxidizing agent is that which oxidizes other species and itself gets reduced that is where decrease in the oxidation number takes place.

Given the following reaction-

(0) (+3) (0) (+3)

2Al + Fe2O3 ----------> 2Fe + Al2O3 + Heat

From the reaction we can say that Fe2O3 is a oxidizing agent.

Reducing agent is that which reduces other species and itself gets oxidized that is where increase in the oxidation number takes place.
