Binoculars are simply two mini telescopes put together so you can use it with both eyes. Each "mini telescope" are what we call barrels. The glass you put to your eyes are the eyepieces that contain the ocular lenses. The glass furthest away from your eyes are the objective lenses. Within each barrel is more glass that are called prisms.
