Explanation:

This atomic model failed to explain stability of atoms. According to the model, electrons revolve around the positively charged nucleus. It's not possible for a long run as we know atoms are stable while any particle in a circular orbit would undergo acceleration.

1. Matters ( elements , particles and mixtures) is made up of very small particles called atom

2. Atoms are indivisible

i.e. - atoms can't be divided futher so , atoms cannot be created nor destroyed.

3. All atoms of a simple element are identical in every aspects

i.e. - same size and same chemical properties

4. the atoms of different element are not identical

i.e. they have different size and chemical properties

5. Atoms of different element combine in the ratio of small whole number to form the compound

6. The relative number and kinds of atoms are constant in a given compound

7. when a compound is decompose the same type of atoms are obtained which constituted the compound

DRAWBACKS / LIMITATIONS

1. Atoms are made of of still smaller particles

- proton , neutron and electron

2. Failed to explain how atoms of different element shows different properties like valancy , mass etc .

3. Why atoms of different element combine to form compounds

4. Failed to explain existence of allotropes

Q. what are allotropes ?

→ Allotropy is a property of some chemical elements to exist in two or more different element and this existence known as allotropes.

For example :- the allotropes of carbon is diamond
