3) They have jointed legs.

4) The exoskeleton is composed of chitin.

5) The colour of their blood is white.

Characteristics of class insecta:

1) Their body is consist of head, thorax and abdomen.

2) They have six legs.

3) One or two pairs of wings.

4) One pair of antenna.

Examples are ants, house fly and honey bees etc.
