Santosh Yadav is an Indian mountaineer. She is the first woman in the world to climb Mount Everest twice,[1] and the first woman to successfully climb Mt. Everest from Kangshung Face. She climbed the peak first in May 1992 and then again in May 1993.

During her Everest mission of 1992 she saved the life of another climber, Mohan Singh, by sharing oxygen with him.

Santosh had to do with the local school. Her parents refused to send her to higher studies, and refused to pay her fees when she threatened them. She had to go to the extent of working part time.
