a group of words, which makes a complete sense, is called a SENTENCE.
SENTENCES ARE OF FOUR KINDS :
1. DECLARATIVE SENTENCE ( states / declares something) which is further divided into ASSERTIVE and NEGATIVE.
2. INTERROGATIVE SENTENCE ( asks a question)
3.IMPERATIVE SENTENCE ( command, request, desire, appeal)
4.EXCLAMATORY SENTENCE ( strong / sudden feelings.)
DECLARATIVE SENTENCE :
1. those which makes STATEMENTS as,

• lennis play tennis every day.
A STATEMENT CAN BE NEGATIVE TOO , AS ;
•I am not hungry.
