• I retired recently, at age 49, so I could do all the things I put off for one reason or another. Travel, reconnecting with my siblings and living the dream. Turns out all that happened was an enormous existential crisis, I mean HUGE. I never realized that I was alone before, the silence was deafening. My siblings all had their own lives, families and plans and then I had several health crisis’s.

My siblings all had their own lives, families and plans and then I had several health crisis’s.So there I was, alone, bored and ill. For the 1st time I realized that money guarantees nothing. Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice to have saved for early retirement. But as the cliche goes, money can’t buy love, health and happiness.

My friend sent the 1st lecture at the perfect time. If I had listened to the lecture 10 years ago, I would never have benefitted. For philosophy to be embraced it has to happen naturally to be seen for what it is, life affirming, life altering and game changing.
