the government Has taken several stringment measures to protect plant cover. some of them are.......
1. afforestation or large scale plantation of tress
2. Each one plant one policy
3. efficient utilization of forest products and usage of substitutes of wood
4. enforcement of a no. of laws /guidelines to protect and prohibit deforestation
5. discouraging shifting agriculture which causes forest loss
