STOMATA :-
==> these are very tiny pores present on the lower surface of leaf. it is surrounded by many guard cells which is responsible for the opening and closing of stomata.
now, functions of STOMATA :-
• stomata helps in transpiration -
==> transpiration is a process in which plant loses it's extra water by evaporation. as plants need water but if there will be extra water, plants loss the extra water through stomata. stomata are very tiny pores so there will be not much loss of water. hence stomata are very helloa.
• stomata helps in making there food -
==> as we know, plants make food by the process of photosynthesis. in this process, plants take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen. and stomata helps in gas exchanges so stomata helps in gas exchange and thus very helpful for making food.
