Parenchyma is the first differentiated tissue, derived from meristem.The cells of Parenchyma are thin walled.cell wall made up of cellulose.They are loosely packed and have intracellular spaces.

Functions:storage of food ,some store waste materials they are called "idioblast cells",photosynthesis (chlorenchyma -type of parenchyma)
