Answer:

A bacteriophage is a type of virus that infects bacteria. ... All bacteriophages are composed of a nucleic acid molecule that is surrounded by a protein structure. A bacteriophage attaches itself to a susceptible bacterium and infects the host cell.

The nucleic acid may be either DNA or RNA and may be double-stranded or single-stranded. There are three basic structural forms of phage: an icosahedral (20-sided) head with a tail, an icosahedral head without a tail, and a filamentous form

firstly it has an outer protein coat called capsid .the bacteriophage is also made up of capsomere and they have their genetic material inside the capsid. the genetic material could either be DNA or RNA or single and double stranded.

hope this helps .
