The arrangement of various taxa in a hierarchical order is called taxonomic hierarchy.

In this hierarchy, species is present at the lowest level whereas kingdom is present at the highest level.

In taxonomic study of an organism is given an appropriate place in a systematic framework of classification. The framework,by which taxonomic groups are arranged in a definite order from higher to lower categories called Taxonomic Hierarchy . In the animal and plant kingdom, the lowest category, I.e., species , genus , family , order , class , phylum, is determined by the similar characters and relation ships.
