i. The workers in the plantations:

When workers heard about the movement thousands of workers immediately left the plantation and headed to their home. They believed that in Gandhi Raj everyone would be given land in their respective villages and thought this Raj was coming soon. All workers reached their destination by train but all were caught by English police men and beaten up brutally.

ii. Women's participation:

During Civil Disobedience Movement many women participated in Gandhiji’s salt march. Many women went to jail some of the women were from high caste family such as Sarojini Naidu, Kasturba Gandhi etc. These women protested against manufactured salt, foreign cloths and liquor shop.
