There is a different magnetic field produced in moving a beam of alpha particles and neutrons:
A. Alpha particles:
As these particles contains ions in it (⁺) they produce a magnet as there is a current flow in it. As there is a presence of positive ion in it, they pass electricity and makes a magnetic field. Hence it produces a force.
B. Neutrons:
As these particles are neutral in nature and doesn't have an ion in it. Hence they don't pass electricity and do not make a magnetic field. Hence no force get produced.

The rule by which we can identify the above is Left Hand Rule

The direction of force acting on the conductor can be found out using Fleming's Left Hand Rule. Stretch the thumb, forefinger and the middle finger of your left hand in such a way that they are perpendicular to each other. The forefinger points to the direction of the magnetic field.

:) Hope this Helps !!!
