describe the activity with a neat diagram to establish the relationship between current passing through wire and the potential difference
Answers
you can easily understand it by examples
first you know know that what is current.
current
current is the flow of charge.
now it relate with an example such as water you imagine here flow of water is flow of charges that is current.
as you seen in above diagram here water is not flow because their level is same .if we providing some hight of one container.now water start flow because changing in level here water make possible to flow by creating level difference between them.
- in case of water movement done by level difference (pressure).
- in case of heat it is done by temperature.
- in case of current is done by potential difference.
you also say that potential difference is the reason to flowing of charge (current).here it is done by charge because current flow from +to-.
electric potential
the amount of work done in moving unit positive
charge from infinity to a point inside an electric field is equal to the electric potential at that.it is a scalar quntity.it is masured by an instrument called volt meter it is connected in series to a circuit.it is deonated by 'v'.
v=w/q
in above relation here potential difference (v)is equal to work (w) doing to moving a charge from one point to another{movement of charge =current (q)}.
