The adaptations of birds to able to live on trees and in air,are as follows -

• Adaptations to live on the trees :

- The birds have sharp nails on their feet which help them to strongly hold the wooden branches of the trees while sitting on it.

• Adaptations to live in the air :

- The birds have a very light weight bone structure which is helpful for flying in the air.

- There are no unnecessary body organs in the bird's body which also helps to reduce the unnecessary body weight in order to achieve a better flight.

- The wings of a bird is covered withe feathers which help them to produce necessary amount of air pressure while flapping the wings during the flight.
