Gupta Administration

• Gupta administration was highly decentralised and quasifeudal in character
• Gupta kings adopted the pompous title such as Parameshwara,Maharajadhiraj which signify that they ruled over lesser king in their empire
• The practice of appointing Kumara (crown prince) came in vogue.
• Kings were assisted by mantrimandal (Council of Ministers )as referred in the prayag prasasti

Revenue system
