\bigstar Kidneys are bean shaped, reddish brown, measuring about 10-20 cm in length, 5-7 cm in width and 2-3 cm in thickness. Weighs about 120-170 g.

\bigstar Kidneys are located in abdominal cavity, one on either side of vertebral column, at the level of last thoracic vertebra and 3rd lumbar vertebra close to the dorsal inner wall of the abdominal cavity
