The beggar stood on a raised platform, in Alan Trevor’s studio. His face was wrinkled and he had a wizened, yet piteous expression. A tattered and torn, old brown cloak was on his shoulders and he wore an old pair of boots that had been patched and cobbled several times. He was supported on a rough stick and in the other arm, he held out an old tattered hat for alms.
