Explanation:

The backbone (or the vertebral column ) extends from the base of the skull to the hip, it considts of 33 small ring-like vertebrae joined end-to-end. Out of 33 vertebrae 24 are joined serially by elastic-like cartilages, 5 are of the hip are fused and inseparable and 4 are of the tail they are also fused. The main nerve cord passes through the hollow bony-tube formed by the vertebrae. The backbone has five regions:-

1.) Neck

2.) Chest

3.) Belly

4.) Hip

5.) Tail
