Fixation
Staining is a technique which is use to increase the contrast in samples under microscope. After staining some features in the sample are clearly visible and it is usually done to define biological tissues for example muscle fibers, cell populations and different blood cells.
Fixation:
Fixation is a mechanism used to preserve 'biological tissues' from decay. It depends on the reagent used in fixation. Alcohol based fixation dehydrate cell and tissues and cause the protein to precipitate and denature.
