The Battle of Chamkaur, also known as Battle of Chamkaur Sahib, was fought between theKhalsa led by Guru Gobind Singh and the Mughal forces led by Wazir Khan. Guru Gobind Singh makes a reference to this battle in his victory letter Zafarnama.

"Battle of Chamkaur Sahib was fought on the bank of Sirsa River, in 1704 between the Sikhs and the Mughals. Guru Gobind Singh led the war with only 40 Sikhs, including his two sons, all of whom died fighting.

Finally, he had to leave the place to save Khalsa Panth, when thousands of enemy soldiers died too.

Battle of Khidrana occurred on the mound of Khidrana, beside Khidrana Lake. Here, 250 Sikhs fought and defeated huge Mughal army in 1705 and it was also referrred as Battle of Muktsar.
