There are many reasons for the beginning of French revolution

i) political causes

French was under despotic rule of Borbon dynasty.Louis XVI was the ruler at that time. He married Austrian princes Mary antonite. The continous war had drained their wealth, treasury became empty under his rule. To meet it's expenditure the govt was forced to inpose taxes on comman people

ii) Economic causes : The unnecessary war had severely affected the economic condition. The burden was fallen on comman man only Heavy rise of prices and shortage of food grains

iii) New middle class emerged. Apart from the group also consists of lawyers, and administrative officials. Many philosophers like John Lock, Jean jack Russeau spreed many ideas about nationalism. these thinkers were inspired by the American Revolution of individual rights

iv) 90 percent of comman man were peasants and had to pay the taxes.The first two estaes enjoyed many privillages by birth
