- Phylum Coelenterata is known as Phylum Cnidaria.
- They are mostly aquatic organisms especially in sea water.
- They are multicellular organisms which have diploblastic body wall that includes two germ layers (Ectoderm/Endo term).
- Endoderm and ectoderm layers are separed by Mesoglea.
- They undergoes both sexual and asexual reproduction.
- Some examples of Coelenterata are Hydra and Jellyfish.
- The central gastrovascular cavity of the phylum Cnidaria is called as coelenteron.
