Bio means life. The biosphere of the domain of the earth in which life exist. Living organism cannot live deep in the crust of the earth or high up in the atmosphere; very few marine organisms are able to survive in the deepest part of the ocean. Life survives and thrives in the narrow contact of the lithosphere, hydrosphere, and atmosphere and it is called the biosphere.
