BRAHMAPUTRA RIVER SYSTEM
- Brahmaputra river rises in the Tibet and very close to the Mansarovar lake.
- This Brahmaputra river is longer than that of Indus.
- Brahmaputra river's most of the parts lies outside India.
- There is a mountain called Namcha Barwa which has a height of 7757m, when this river reaches near this mountain then it takes a u-turn and enter into India through Arunanchal Pradesh.
- In Arunanchal Pradesh this river is called as Dihang.
- As compared to other countries Brahmaputra carries good amount of silt in India because in India this river gets sufficient rainfall than those of other countries.
- This river forms world's largest riverine islands.
