Dear student,
Thought the streets were busy and there were small shops all around, owned by the Tibetan immigrants, the atmosphere was still calm and heavenly. Kathmand has been described as a religious city with beautiful shrines and statues of deities adorned with flowers are found along the narrow streets. People sell all kinds of stuff like flowers to flutes, utensils to cosmetics and etc. in the small shops. Film songs, horns of motor cars and bicycle bells, the vendors calling for customers could be heard during the day.
